The very first Wangarang Fair Day & Garage Sale is happening Saturday, 2nd May. It’s set to be a standout event on the local calendar with plenty of excitement building and some big plans in place.

#1. ENJOY A FUN COMMUNITY DAY FOR EVERYONE!

This isn’t just a fair - it’s a celebration of inclusion, connection, and community spirit. Whether you’re hunting for a bargain, bringing the kids out for a morning of fun, or just keen to soak up a great atmosphere, there’s something here for everyone.

Come early for the huge garage sale packed with hidden treasures. Explore local stalls and activities while the coffee cart keeps you fuelled. Enjoy plenty of delicious treats including baked goods and a barbecue while the kids are entertained with games in a welcoming and inclusive environment… all for a great cause!

#2. HELP US BREAK A RECORD WITH THE BIGGEST RETURN & EARN DAY IN MAY.

The Fair is officially going BIG with a community challenge - aiming to collect 60,000 containers in one day through Return & Earn. Can Orange help us make history?

Every container counts! Together, the community can make a real difference. Fire up your family, workplace, school, sporting club, neighbours and mates to bring out eligible bottles and cans to help us hit our goal at the Fair this Saturday!

Don’t forget to grab a ticket in our Return & Earn Raffle! Tickets are just $1 each for your chance to win a huge hamper packed with drinks, chips and snacks galore. Tickets are available now at the depot and on the day, with the draw happening during the Fair.

#3. GO TREASURE HUNTING AT WANGARANG!

The garage sale is shaping up to be BIG! If you love a good find, this is your moment. Think furniture, tools and hardware, gardening gear, plants, board games, puzzles, household items, craft goods, workwear, even firewood and kindling, AND… a car! Yes - you heard right - a car! Hot tip… come early for the best bargains.

#4. GIVE THE KIDS A DAY OUT THEY WON’T FORGET!

Wangarang Fair Day is packed with fun for the young (and the young at heart). Kids can enjoy face painting, temporary tattoos, inflatable axe throwing, soccer darts, cornhole, a jellybean guessing competition, and a giant monopoly game. It’s the kind of day where kids stay entertained and parents actually get to enjoy themselves too.

#5. COME FOR A COFFEE AND A BROWSE… STAY FOR A BBQ LUNCH!

Important information… come hungry to the Fair! Come for a barista coffee teamed with a cake and a stroll around… stay for a delicious barbecue lunch hosted by Orange City Council. You definitely won’t go hungry at Wangarang Fair. A special thanks must go to the Wangarang community for their top shelf baking skills. Keep an eye out for sweet surprises throughout Fair.
