We’re thrilled to announce the official opening of The Gold Room, Wangarang’s newest sensory space, made possible thanks to the generous support of Newmont.
Designed to be calming, inclusive, and engaging, The Gold Room offers participants a supportive environment to build new skills, explore creativity, and find moments of calm. The space features a large interactive whiteboard with a range of sensory experiences, including puzzles, digital art, video creation, and interactive games. For those who need a quieter moment, it also provides a peaceful setting to relax, reset, and recharge.
The opening was celebrated with Rami Ghattas, Manager – Sustaining Capital and Newmont’s disability pillar leader, who officially cut the ribbon. We also warmly thank Nicola Searle, Kate Lapointe, and Nicole Morris from the Newmont team for joining us on this special day.
We are incredibly grateful to Newmont for their ongoing support, helping us create meaningful, inclusive spaces for the people we support. The Gold Room is more than a room, it’s a place for growth, creativity, and connection for our community.
