WANGARANG LIFE SKILLS
We focus on what’s possible – supports that educate, empower and connect
At Wangarang, we leverage our expertise in supported employment to take a skills-first approach to enriching day programs and social support options. As a trusted not-for-profit and registered NDIS provider in Central West NSW, we’re committed to helping people build confidence, independence and connection through meaningful, practical experiences.
Our programs are designed to develop real-world skills in a supportive, inclusive environment. Whether it’s learning to manage money, staying active, exploring creative outlets or building sensory awareness, we focus on what’s possible — and tailor supports to each person’s goals and interests.
Shopping and Money Skills
We support people to build independence through everyday tasks like budgeting, shopping and handling money. From planning a shopping list to navigating the supermarket and using EFTPOS, our team provides step-by-step guidance to build confidence and capability.
Cooking Skills
Our staff can support you at home to choose a recipe, check your pantry, create a shopping list, and head to the supermarket. We’ll help with safe food handling, meal preparation, cooking, cleaning up and storing leftovers — all while building practical life skills.
Appointments and Errands
Need help getting to appointments or running errands? We can support you to attend medical appointments, visit the bank, pay bills, or post letters — helping you stay on top of everyday responsibilities with confidence.
Woodworking
Our woodworking sessions offer a hands-on way to build skills, creativity and confidence. Participants can learn to use tools safely, follow plans, and create practical or decorative items in a supported environment.
