Wangarang’s Board And Executive

Our Leadership

At Wangarang, strong leadership is the foundation of our commitment to empowering people with disabilities and enriching our community. Our governance structure is built on a clear distinction between the strategic oversight provided by our Board of Directors and the operational leadership delivered by our Executive team.

The Role of the Board

Our skills-based Board of Directors brings together a diverse group of professionals with deep expertise across finance, disability services, community services, business development, people and culture, law, and business. This collective experience ensures that Wangarang is guided by informed, ethical, and forward-thinking leadership.

The Board is responsible for:

  • Strategic Direction

Setting and reviewing the long-term vision and strategic priorities of Wangarang to ensure we continue to meet the evolving needs of our community.

  • Governance and Compliance

Upholding the highest standards of governance, transparency, and accountability in line with regulatory and legal obligations.

  • Risk Oversight

Identifying and managing strategic and operational risks to safeguard the organisation’s sustainability and reputation.

  • CEO Performance and Support

Appointing, supporting, and evaluating the performance of the Chief Executive Officer to ensure effective leadership and delivery of our mission.

The Executive Team

Led by the CEO, our Executive team is responsible for the day-to-day management of Wangarang. This includes implementing the strategic plan, managing operations, leading our workforce, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. The Executive team works closely with the Board to provide insights, report on performance, and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.
